The places across are legendary,indeed. Sukko, Supsekh, Varvarovka, Pavlovka - all these settlements in the highlands away from Anapa are in the very neighborhood of the warm Black Sea and has a rich history and amusing .

The events of bygone days...The Greeks had been exploring this place since II c. BC, exporting wine and wheat from it even that time. In XV c. the Turks invaded, they made a fortress Sudjuk-Kale(nowadays Novorossiysk), and then by the end of XVIII century created solid fortification at Anapa. Caucasian War, Russian troops takeover of Anapa fortress in 1828 newly enliven this land. The new-comers from Russia and other countries under Tsar's quota rushed the place. The region was governed by powerful Kuban landslord, a hero of Caucasian War General-Adjutant Loris-Melikov, who had then become a duke and minister of Internal Affairs of those days Russia.

The years flew away. But unique beauty of the local wooded highlands, tender sea and blue valleys remain unchangeable. From generation to generation pass over the love to grape growing on these steep slopes. Local places won fame of resort area. Towards the sea and mountains are heading the vacationers from all Russia and abroad.
